Terms And Conditions

The following terms and conditions constitute the agreement between you and Gerrards Cross taxis. By booking a taxi and utilizing our service, you unconditionally accept the terms and conditions as outlined in this agreement.

Definitions

1.1 "Gerrards Cross taxis," "we," or "us" denotes the service-providing company. The terms "you" and "your" refer to any individual, business, or company making a booking with us.

Booking

2.1 It is imperative to allocate sufficient time for your journey to ensure timely arrival, especially for airport transfers with specific check-in times. Gerrards Cross Taxis is not responsible for delays resulting from inadequate time allocation or if you are not prepared for collection at the scheduled time.

2.2 You are responsible for selecting a car of appropriate size for passengers and luggage. Gerrards Cross Taxis does not guarantee the accommodation of excess luggage. Please note that, regardless of age, a child is considered a single passenger.

2.3 Requests for wheelchair access should be communicated during the booking process.

Prices & Payment

3.1 Our quotation is based on the information provided by you. Prices, unless otherwise stated, exclude VAT, which will be charged separately if applicable. We reserve the right to adjust the quoted amount in case of significant changes to the itinerary.

3.2 The quote includes a 45-minute waiting period after the landing time and covers airport parking costs. Any wait beyond this period will incur charges at the standard Gerrards Cross taxis waiting rate. While we strive to accommodate delays, we are not obligated to do so.

3.3 Upon acceptance of our quote, you will receive a booking confirmation. It is your responsibility to review the confirmation for accuracy. Failure to notify Gerrards Cross Taxis of any discrepancies absolves us of responsibility for resulting delays or costs.

3.4 Payment for our services can be made in cash, credit card, or debit card.

The Service

4.1 You are accountable for the conduct of all passengers during the journey. Damages to the vehicle caused by passengers may result in a charge to cover cleaning expenses.

4.2 Eating, drinking, or smoking is not permitted in the car.

4.3 All children must be appropriately restrained based on their height, weight, and age.

4.4 We are obligated to adhere to passenger limits stipulated by licensing or insurance.

Cancellations

5.1 If you need to cancel a booking with Gerrards Cross Taxis, prompt communication is essential. Cancellation after dispatching the vehicle incurs charges based on the distance covered by the driver at the time of cancellation.

5.2 Cancelling an online booking before dispatch may result in charges to the original payment.

Liability

6.1 While we strive for punctuality, Gerrards Cross Taxis is not liable for losses due to uncontrollable delays. We bear no responsibility for losses incurred by you or your business under any circumstances.

6.2 Luggage is transported at your own risk.

6.3 In the event of a breakdown, we will make efforts to provide an alternative car to expedite your journey.

6.4 You shall not hold Gerrards Cross Taxis responsible for expenses, damages, costs, or losses arising from any act or omission by anyone in your party.

6.5 No party involved can exclude or limit liability for personal injury or death resulting from negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, willful default, or any other matter deemed unenforceable by applicable laws.

Termination

7.1 We reserve the right to terminate or refuse a booking immediately if a vehicle or driver is endangered by abuse, violence, or damage from you or any passenger. No refunds will be provided for terminated journeys.

Miscellaneous

8.1 Gerrards Cross Taxis may subcontract its obligations as stated in this agreement. You may not assign, delegate, or transfer any obligations or rights under this agreement.

8.2 We may modify the terms and conditions at any time by updating this page. It is your responsibility to regularly review these terms. Existing bookings will be honored at the rates in effect at the time of booking.

8.3 Information is handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 1988.

8.4 This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between Gerrards Cross Taxis and yourself.

8.5 Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to confer benefits to a third party. No third party has the right to enforce rights under this agreement unless agreed upon in writing.

Disputes

Any dispute or claim must be submitted within 30 days from the booking pickup date. Gerrards Cross Taxis is not obligated to entertain claims or disputes made after this timeframe.
